I have found all the drivers for the notebook, but only the 3D video controller is nowhere to be found and because of that the driver that I got from the HP Support and Drivers section tells me that there is no nVidia hardware on my system. Can you help me?

You can download the driver for the Nvidia hardware from the Support website. Make sure to select the proper operating system installed in your laptop and then download the drivers from the Drivers - Graphics category. Visit the website, and you can acquire the package.
I wouldn't reommend updating the driver with an official one from Nvidia, even if they've made it. The HP drivers are customized to work only on their devices. It means you should use HP Support to locate your laptop or computer model and then download the necessary driver. Access the Support page and enter the model number of your computer (usually found on the sticker attached to the PC) and download the correct video driver for your Windows version.
It depends on what version of windows you have. The graphics chipset comes from Nvidia's latest lineup, though the midrange GeForce G105M video card is really only suitable for decoding high-definition movies and playing less resource-intensive games
This laptop is powerful enough to play Blu-ray discs, except that no Blu-ray drive option is available for this model. Though you can use an external optical peripheral, this is an inelegant solution. We hope the next iteration will at least include a Blu-ray combo drive.
During the installation process of 195.62 drivers for Windows 7, my monitor becomes blank (black) and I can't see anything even if my PC is running. Now when I start the computer there is no display. The problem may occur because the refresh rate is set over my monitor's limit. I'm using a VA1703wb monitor by ViewSonic. Can you help?

I don't know why everyone just says reinstall windows to fix every little problem? that's a lot of work and for a novice may be way over there heads and end up with a vey exspencive repair bill! Just try to start Window in Safe Mode but hitting the F8 key several time just after the bois screen drops out and before windows starts to load it may take a few times to get it right but you can do it (o; then try to uninstall the driver you just installed to get you into this mess, If that does not work then hit the F8 key again only this time click on the line that says "Start Windows from the last knowen good start up" or go back to windows at a time BEFORE you loaded that driver and you shouls be golden! Good luck ..(o;

Find your drivers/software on this page -- just choose the correct version of Windows.

Don't worry if your drivers are updated... That might be a wrong version displayed on this website......
Can you tell me why the driver is not working? I can use only the wireless connection on this laptop bought in June 2009.
Reinstall the driver...... This is the only solution.......
